Awarding Amazing Architecture: The WDW Radio Hall of Fame

February is the month that we honor one standout in the category of Architecture in Walt Disney World.  This is truly no easy feat.

Well, neither is cramming the history of communication inside a gigantic, 180 foot tall, geodesic polyhedron – or “giant golf ball”.  Or, creating 325 animal sculptures on a man-made baobab tree housing a 420+ seat theater.  Or making the 190-foot Cinderella Castle look taller and more impressive through the use of forced perspective.

And, that’s just the park icons.

Walt Disney World has many buildings and structures that recreate, simulate, or invent their own amazing architectural standards that immerse you in story.  From the pyramids of the Imagination Pavilion and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort, to the tiki-themed buildings of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Walt Disney’s – Enchanted Tiki Room, structures of every shape and size are there to take you on an adventure.

Or, do you choose a person that has made a significant impact on the parks in terms of engineering?  Marty Sklar and Joe Rohde are just two names that jump to my mind.

So, how are you going to choose just one?   Well, that’s your task.

Make sure to choose one nominee for Best Architecture – past, present or future – that you would induct into the WDW Radio Hall of Fame.  Please either comment below (or on the social media posts) by March 1, 2019.  Then, the top nominees will be put to a vote for one inductee into our prestigious hall.
